Winter Celebrations

  We finished up our science unit on Exploring liquids with a short quiz on Monday and today. Students did a great job of connecting their learning from our experiments to the questions.  In Math we are finishing up our short unit on 2D shapes.  We have explored what makes a shape, compared lines and shapes and where to find specific shapes.  As well we continue with our number talks each morning and more students are developing stronger mental math skills and looking for familiar ways to add larger numbers.

As you can see in the schedule above, our winter assemblies start next Friday with Pajama day and an assembly at 8:30.  Our class performs on Wednesday Dec 18 at 8:30am.

Book orders are due this Friday in order to ensure they arrive before the holidays.
Please consider sending in some dry or canned goods to help with our Food Bank drive!
