We have had a busy week in our class. In math we have started our Measurement unit and are learning to use the terms longer, shorter, taller, wider, narrower. We discussed where we use those terms and what kinds of things we can measure. During Literacy we started our Guided Reading groups, talked about how to support each other during reading. We have also been focusing on using more descriptive language in our writing.
In Science we did an experiment involving water, oil, vinegar and syrup. Ask your child what they learned! We have also spent time this week talking about Remembrance Day, what it means, how important it is to work for peace and did some art projects. Enjoy the long weekend.
No school on Monday.
Mrs. Krahn is away on Tuesday. Please return library books Tuesday.
Book orders are due next Wednesday.
